QamarEdu ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of students, parents, staff, and administrators who use our platform. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over it.
We collect information you provide directly (name, email, school affiliation), information generated by platform use (attendance records, grade entries, payment records), and technical information (IP addresses, browser type, session logs) for security and performance purposes.
We use your data to deliver and improve the QamarEdu platform, communicate with you about your account, comply with legal obligations, and generate aggregated (non-identifying) analytics to improve our services. We never sell your data to third parties.
Each school institution on QamarEdu operates in a fully isolated environment with its own dedicated database. No student or staff data is ever shared between institutions on the platform.
You may choose the geographic region where your school's data is hosted. QamarEdu supports data residency in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, the European Union, and other regions to meet local regulatory requirements including the KSA Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL), UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021, and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
QamarEdu serves educational institutions that may process data relating to children under the age of 13. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Schools are responsible for obtaining appropriate parental consent before entering student data into the platform.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact your school administrator or reach us at privacy@qamaredu.com.
We retain data for as long as your school's subscription is active. Upon contract termination, you may export all data within 30 days. After 30 days, data is securely deleted unless legal retention obligations require otherwise.
We use AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit. Access is controlled via role-based permissions and multi-factor authentication. We conduct regular penetration testing and security audits.
